The most traditional soccer stadium in the city of São Paulo was still celebrating its 50th anniversary, completed in 1990, when it hosted one of the most magical and unforgettable concerts held in São Paulo: the performance of the Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti at Pacaembu Stadium.
Invited by Dançar Marketing, in December of 1991 Pavarotti, accompanied by the New Filarmonia Orchestra, excited more than 50,000 people. First mega-concert held at the stadium, the event entered São Paulo’s history inaugurating the space that was the stage, for 15 years, of the main concerts and shows in the city.
