Conceived by Dançar Marketing in 2013 with the unprecedented act of connecting genres such as Blues, Rock and Jazz to a set of events that involve culture, accessibility, technology and innovation, “Best of Blues and Rock” annually holds great shows, reinforcing its support to Brazilian music, bringing to the festival national artists playing alongside international artists in exclusive and breathtaking performances.
Sponsored by Samsung since 2014, the festival received important artists who are global references such as Goo Goo Dolls, Steve Vai, Buddy Guy, The Nu Blu Band, Extreme, Joe Perry, Zakk Wylde, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Tom Morello, John 5, Keb’ Mo’, Quinn Sullivan, Richie Sambora, Joe Satriani, Jamie Cullum, George Benson, Jimmie Vaughan, Charlie Musselwhite, Ben Harper, Ari Borger, Artur Menezes, Irmandade do Blues, Igor Prado, Andreas Kisser, Di Ferrero, Cacá Magalhães, Francisco El Hombre, Vitor Kley and Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica, Day Limns, IRA!, Dead Fish, Nanda Moura, Malvada, among others.
In addition to the exciting shows, the project features “Mostra Blues”, an event that transforms the city of São Paulo into the capital of Blues. Annually there are more than 40 interventions in several spots of the city with interactive and photo exhibitions, master classes, film sessions and live musical performances.
The project is a rescue of the cultural legacy and roots of the musical genre that has transformed the world music and remains influencing genres such as Jazz, Pop, Hip Hop, Rock and R&B.
