A project of high cultural value, “Concertos Populares” (Popular Concerts) made the connection between classical and popular music in a memorable spectacle.

Orchestras joined regional groups such as samba schools and presented a repertoire that moved from northeastern, regional and folk music to classical music, promoting a rich and unprecedented musical experience between 2007 and 2012.
